The Control Center: Italian Steering Wheels and Interiors

The connection between driver and machine is most intimate at the steering wheel, and Italian manufacturers like Momo and Sparco have turned it into an art form. Their racing steering wheels, often crafted from suede, carbon fiber, and titanium, offer perfect grip and ergonomics, housing essential controls for everything from pit lane speed limiters to communication systems.

This focus on the driver's environment extends to racing seats and harnesses, which combine aggressive bolstering for support with high-quality materials to create a cockpit that is both functional and inspiring.

FAQ

Q: Why are racing steering wheels often flat-bottomed?A: A flat-bottomed (or D-shaped) wheel provides easier entry and exit from a tight racing cockpit and more legroom for the driver. It also offers a visual indicator of wheel position.

This group app allows us to invite members to join but we can also add them as well as I have added you - so it has a lot of potential. I think from reviews there has been some bugs in it but hopefully they are being ironed out.

The screening forms part of a wider UK programme of events designed to help communities engage with the climate and nature crisis.

It is based on the November 2025 National Emergency Briefing in Westminster by naturalist Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden and other UK experts. It presents the national implications of climate and nature breakdown in a single non partisan account, helping communities process the information on a more human level.

"I’d encourage people everywhere to attend a screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing. This new film creates exactly the kind of honest, local conversation we now urgently need, both about the threat from climate and nature breakdown, but also about what we can do, together with our politicians, to build a better future.” (Chris Packham)

    Have Your Say

Join an open discussion about the film and what it means for our community. We are inviting our local MPs and hope they will join this discussion and back a Parliamentary Call for a televised emergency briefing on this crisis.

Seats are free but limited so please book in advance, all are welcome.
